Allan Kalish Philadelphia, PA

Allan Kalish is an advertising and publishing executive who currently serves as chairman of WorkZone, LLC, a company producing extranet services for advertising agencies. From 1990 to 2002 he headed Kalish & Associates, consultants to marketing management and to advertising agencies. Kalish was Chairman of AC Publishers, Inc., who published Seven Arts, Philadelphia’s monthly arts and culture review and Business Philadelphia, the region’s monthly business magazine. He was also Chairman of Penn Publishers, Inc., a contract publisher of specialized magazines including the Official Visitors Guide for the Philadelphia Convention and Business Bureau. He was the founder and former President and CEO of Kalish & Rice, Inc., an advertising agency whose clients included Strawbridge & Clothier, Philadelphia Electric, Philadelphia Gas Works, Wawa, Pep Boys, Clover Stores, Silo, First Pennsylvania Bank, Armstrong World Industries, Terminex, Trump Castle Casino and many others. He also served a term as President of the Philadelphia Advertising Club. His board service has included the Police Athletic League, the American Music Theater Festival, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Sports Congress. Kalish was a member of Mayor Ed Rendell’s Commission for the Homeless and board member of Philadelphia’s Center City District. He was inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame in 1994.
